This New Year, Apple is expected to continue its strategy of growing its customer base by launching phones in multiple sizes and at various price points.
In 2018 Apple launched iPhone XS with a 5.8 inches screen, the iPhone XS Max with a 6.5 inches screen along with iPhone XR which has a 6.1 inches screen. The XS devices started off at $999 and the XR was priced at $749.
Here’s what we expect from Apple iPhones in 2019:
Continuation of iPhone XS and XR
The last few years, Apple has been focusing on offering options and 2019 shouldn’t be any different. Apple enthusiasts believe that iPhone XS and XR devices will likely continue this year.
According to iPhone analysts, Apple will probably launch 5.8 and 6.5 inch OLED iPhones alongside a 6.1 inch LCD iPhone.
As of yet, we still don’t know what the new iPhones will be called but there’s a chance they’ll be named iPhone XI or iPhone 11.
OLED VS LED
OLED displays are expected to be part of at least some of the 2019 lineup. While it is possible for all of the new iPhones to have OLED displays, they will probably offer at least one iPhone with an LED display because of how expensive OLED displays can be.
High-quality cameras continue to be the most-wanted attributes for smartphones and so far iPhones have remained ahead of the game.
If we were to believe the rumors, the upcoming generation of 6.5-inch iPhones will be equipped with a triple-lens rear camera while it’s more affordable counterparts will have dual-lens cameras.
Apple hasn’t revealed the look of the triple-lens camera but it has confirmed that it’s working on several prototypes.
Front Facing Cameras
Apple is supposedly planning to change its front-facing cameras.
Ming-Chi, an Apple analyst with several years of experience under his belt, claims that Apply is probably going to enhance its Face ID feature. The 2019 generation of iPhones won’t be so easily impacted by invisible light. According to him, the new phones will feature a smaller notch that is a combination of the selfie-camera and the Face ID sensors.
Apple Pencil Support
There is a small chance that an upcoming version of the iPhone may have an Apple Pencil-style stylus, however this isn’t confirmed.
Date of Launch
If we look at Apple’s past launch dates, we can expect the new iPhones to be introduced to the market in September, 2019.
